Pickup w założeniu ma być samochodem możliwie uniwersalnym, łączącym odpowiednie wartości użytkowe oraz zdolność terenową z możliwością eksploatacji w mieście, czy nawet na autostradzie. Czy Isuzu D-Max pozostaje zgodne z tym założeniem? Na to pytanie postaram się teraz odpowiedzieć. Duży i oszczędny Większość testów samochodów, zarówno tych osobowych, jak i ciężarowych, zaczyna się od akapitu o wyglądzie. No to startujemy – Isuzu D-Max wygląda tak, jak na zdjęciach, moim zdaniem zresztą naprawdę dobrze. Ok, to teraz możemy przejść do rzeczy naprawdę ważnych… 😉 Pod maską japońskiego pickupa pracuje 2,5-litrowy turbodiesel z dwiema turbinami, który jest jednostką raczej niewysiloną, oferującą 163 KM. I bardzo dobrze, bo jeśli ktoś zamierza ciągnąć autem trzytonowe przyczepy, czy każdego dnia przedzierać się przez pola, niewysilony silnik jest chyba jedyną słuszną propozycją. Do tego dochodzi fakt, że 400 Nm maksymalnego momentu obrotowego dostępne jest tutaj w bardzo fajnym zakresie obrotów (1400-2000), oferując odpowiednią elastyczność do jazdy pod dużym obciążeniem, czy też podczas przedzierania się przez błoto. No dobrze, ale skoro Isuzu nie zależało na zrobieniu niewielkiego silnika o imponującej mocy, to po co mamy tutaj aż dwie turbiny? Przydają się one na przykład na typowo polskiej trasie, pozwalając uniknąć klasycznej turbodziury i tym samym ograniczając apetyt na paliwo. W czasie normalnej jazdy po „krajówkach” auto potrafiło zejść poniżej 8 litrów na 100 km/h, na autostradzie przy 130-140 km/h było jeszcze ciekawiej – komputer pokładowy wskazał średnio zaledwie 9,7 l/100 km, natomiast w Poznaniu, kręcąc się głownie po centrum w bardzo gęstym ruchu, trzeba było policzyć jakieś 11 litrów. To wyniki podobne jak w zaledwie 2-litrowym Amaroku, a przy dynamicznej jeździe nawet i lepsze! Sztuka kompromisów À propos dynamicznej jazdy – ta była jak najbardziej możliwa, zwłaszcza, że testowy samochód połączono z naprawdę dobrą, 5-biegową skrzynią biegów. „Automat” słuchał się nogi, redukował kiedy trzeba, a czasami miał wręcz skłonność do trzymania się zbyt wysokich obrotów. W mieście wymagało to oczywiście odpowiednio lekkiej nogi, ale za to w terenie nie trzeba było martwić się, że przekładania zrobi nam jakąś niespodziankę i stracimy moc. A co z trasą? Tam skrzynia Isuzu D-Max okazała się być wspaniałym przykładem, że wkładanie do 3-tonowych aut przekładni o nie wiadomo ilu biegach (TUTAJ pisałem ostatnio o 11-biegowym Fordzie) to po prostu przerost formy nad treścią. Dzięki zapasowi mocy i momentu obrotowego poszczególne przełożenia mogły być odpowiednio długie, w związku z czym pięć biegów jak najbardziej wystarczało, a wspominane niskie spalanie jest na to najlepszym przykładem. W dynamicznej jeździe pomóc mogło też zawieszenie, udowadniające, że Isuzu także i tutaj dobrze zdołało opanować sztukę kompromisów. Nawet na pusto samochód prowadził się nienajgorzej, na koleinach obeszło się bez jakichkolwiek modlitw, poprzeczne nierówności pokonywało się nadspodziewanie komfortowo, a jednocześnie w tylnej partii nadwozia czekały porządne resory i sztywny most, czyli pickupowa klasyka gatunku. W aucie nie zabrakło ręcznie dołączanego napędu na przednie koła, obecny był prosty w obsłudze reduktor, a do tego warto zaznaczyć, że układ 4×4 mógł pozostać włączony do prędkości aż 180 km/h. Jeśli chodzi zaś o prześwit to może nie jest on tutaj rekordowy, wynosząc 235 mm, ale dzięki odpowiednim kształtom nadwozia i tak pozwala na naprawdę wiele – kąt natarcia Isuzu D-Max wynosi 30 procent, podczas gdy kąty zejścia i rampowy mają po 25 procent. A co z układem kierowniczym? Ten pracował z odpowiednim oporem, dawał pewne poczucie kontroli nad pojazdem, choć z uwagi na jego przełożenie w mieście oczywiście trzeba było nieźle się nakręcić. Posiedzisz i na klapie, i na kanapie Odpowiedni kompromis to bardzo ważna rzecz także w przypadku podziału nadwozia na część osobową i towarową. Tutaj Isuzu postanowiło pójść raczej w kierunku komfortu pasażerów, robiąc stosunkowo długą kabinę, ale za to ograniczając przestrzeń ładunkową. Ta ostatnia liczy 1522 mm długości i 1530 mm szerokości, niestety będąc pozbawioną cennego dodatku w postaci gniazda 12V. Z drugiej jednak strony praktyczność nadrabiana jest przez bardzo duża ładowność, wynoszącą minimalnie ponad tonę przy trzech tonach DMC, oprócz tego w dowodzie rejestracyjnym znajdziemy imponującą możliwość ciągnięcia aż 3,5-tonowej przyczepy, natomiast tylną klapę możemy obciążyć rekordowym ciężarem 300 kilogramów. Tymczasem w kabinie można poczuć się wręcz komfortowo. Miejsca dla kierowcy i jego przedniego kompana jest naprawdę sporo, a na tylnej kanapie nie narzekała nawet trójka pasażerów, w tym jedno dziecko na foteliku. Fotele wykończono praktyczną skórą, ich wyprofilowanie jest jak najbardziej trafne, obsługa klimatyzacji i radia to rzeczy, do których bez problemu można się przyzwyczaić, zaś plastiki nie są może najładniejsze, ale za to ani przez sekundę nie zatrzeszczały. W kabinie nie brakowało schowków, a pozycja za kierownicą odpowiadałaby tym znanym z dobrych aut osobowych, gdyby nie pewien problem… Okazała się nim regulacja kierownicy tylko w jednej płaszczyźnie, kierownicy niestety umiejscowionej bardzo blisko deski rozdzielczej, co może być uciążliwe dla wysokich osób. Ale wiecie co? Na pocieszenie pozostaje fakt, że to chyba jedyna poważna wada jaką znalazłem w tym aucie. Podsumowanie Gdyby miał w kilku słowach, całkowicie szczerze i rzetelnie określić Isuzu D-Max, to stwierdziłbym co następuje: jest to wyjątkowo dobry pickup. Może on zaimponować niejedną właściwością użytkową i terenową, a jednocześnie oferuje pewien komfort w mieście i na trasie. Do tego japońskie auto dostało fantastyczny napęd, mocny i dopasowany do jego uniwersalnego charakteru, a przy tym nadspodziewanie łaskawy dla portfela. Co natomiast portfel powie na ceny? Za pięcioosobową wersję LS, wyposażoną w w manualną klimatyzację, zestaw poduszek powietrznych, napęd 4×4 z reduktorem i zintegrowane radio trzeba zapłacić 93 950 złotych netto, co jest kwotą stosunkowo wysoką. Zacznie bardziej opłaca się wybór modelu LSX, wycenionego na 12 tys. złotych więcej, ale posiadającego już ogrzewane fotele, elektrycznie regulowane miejsce kierowcy, skórzaną tapicerkę, automatyczną klimatyzację, tempomat, tylne światła w technologii LED, czy system audio ze specjalnym głośnikiem przestrzennym umieszczonym w suficie. Porównując takiego D-Maxa z podobnie wyposażoną konkurencją, okazuje się on autem wręcz bardzo atrakcyjnym cenowo. Czy więc warto? Oj tak! On the digital panel you can see how blocked or not the DPF is, to day it looked quite full, I cleared it quite quickly in manual low gears but after a short journey later in auto it seems to be filling up again. On your dash panel, when you get the DPF up does it have some bars full or is yours all ways empty. Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites Report Share DPFs can only regenerate a certain number of times before they are full of ash, have it taken out plug the inlet end and fill it up with oven cleaner, let it sit a while and then back flow it with a hose for an hour or so then reinstall it. A wee drop of cetane booster in the diesel and then flog it up the motorway at 70mph in 4th gear for 10-15 minutes does them the world of good. *edit* to say make sure you let it dry out before putting it back in! Thanks My keeper mate has the same problem on his auto. They've told him to keep journeys of less than 6 miles to a minimum. Not the best solution. I have a 2016 it doesn't tell me when its on a regeneration but you can tell when the tick over goes up to 900 i then run it around till finishes usually around 10 mins bit of pain but really good trucks. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites Report Share As mentioned a blast out now and again will keep it clean. It won't re gen unless above a certain temp. Biggest problem with that engine is oil dilution. Extra diesel is injected to raise the temperature of the exhaust gas and keep dpf dipstick, it will have a cross on it way above the hi oil mark. Isuzu say take it to the dealer when oil gets that high. Personally I would change oil as soon as it gets over H on dipstick. Mine did short runs and oil went up every 2 months so I changed it for the sake of £20 quid in oil and 5 mins underneath. Nope, think there’s a problem with mine, warning light for DPF come on this morning, I did a regeneration down the motorway and cleared it all, on the way back started to fill up again , on maximum again, booked into garage . Low oil meant it would not re-generate so slowly coked itself up. I thought it was all low sulphur stuff now. I remember when that stuff first came in. The minute you filled up with it, performance dropped off and mpg went down. It didnt regen itself and I was lucky that Lancashire Mitsubishi sorted it for me there and then (2 other dealerships enroute wouldn't look at it). Following the rules set by the halfwits in (various mainly European) governments. I had (several years ago) MAJOR DPF issues with a BMW, very fortunately covered by warranty. I am still mystified as to what the actual real cause was as so many parts were changed, but the inlet manifold was possibly key, though exactly why remains shrouded in mystery. If you only bought it a few days ago, and if you bought it from a garage, then take it back to where you bought it from for them to fix. The 2012 – 2020 Isuzu Dmax’s have a very bad habit of cracking the evaporator at the end of a rigid pipe that goes through your firewall, which releases the cooling gas, and results in you needing to have the entire dash removed, and the evaporator replaced.
